Each item in the Results window: a result, a folder, a view, or a link, has a set of properties associated with it. These properties vary according to the type of item. When applicable, you can modify the content of the popup window that's associated with the item, the appearance of the symbol connected to it on the map, and how you'll see the item when you navigate to it. In addition, you can modify the location and height of items that are points. Here is a summary of actions you can take in the Results Window item properties dialog boxes:
When you complete a task, its result appears in the Results window and in most cases, on the map. Each type of result displays information associated with the result on the map using default settings for the task that created it. You may want to augment the information displayed at the result location as well as change the symbol associated with the result by modifying or setting these properties.
Popup Window Use this page to change the characteristics of the window that pops up when you click the symbol associated with the result.
Result Title Change the title that appears in the Results window and at the top of the popup by altering the default value in the text input box.
Popup Content You can use the Popup Conent text box to enter the content for the popup window. Popup Content can include plain text, HTML, XML that refers to an XSD, or link to an external URL or file. If you specify a file and the application associated with the file's extension is on the local computer, the application will open the specified file.

Tips
Symbol Use this page to change the symbol of the result on the map. The symbols you can choose from are dependent on the geometry of the result; for example, if the result is a point, you'll see marker symbols; if the result is a line or a route, you'll see line symbols, etc.

As you work with and eventually save results to a map, you may want to refine the way you present each result in order to present it in the most informative and compelling way; for example, a result showing a landmark or historic building threatened by development might be better understood if seen in the context of the built environment in which it sits. The position in three dimensional space of three elements control how a result will appear: the observer's location the target location, and the result location.
View Use this page to control the view and the location of the result.
The view of a result consists of three elements: where the viewer is located (Observer), what they are looking at (Target), and the location of the result in the view, By default, ArcGIS Explorer displays the view of a result so that the result and the target are in the same place and the result is seen from directly above.
Select and then click the title of a folder, link, or view; type in its new title. An alternative way to do this is to right-click the title in the Results window and select Properties; in the dialog box that appears, change the title in the item's Title text input box.

You can change the visible title of a link as well as the file you've associated to any item in the Results window, by right-clicking the item and selecting Properties... on the item's context menu. In the dialog box that appears, open the Associations node in the list at the left. The panel at the right displays all link titles. Select a link title and click Change Link to browse for or enter a new link.
