As you work with ArcGIS Explorer, you may discover that you've generated numerous results on the map during the course of a session. To organize your work in the way that suits you best and make you more productive, there are several techniques you can use:
Note Holding down the SHIFT key while selecting items in the Results window selects adjacent items or an included range of items; holding down the CTRL key while selecting selects non-adjacent items.
Right click the Results window and choose Add Folder. ArcGIS Explorer adds a folder named New Folder at the top of the Results window.

Select one or more items and drag them to the position you want them to be. The horizontal bar indicates where the first item will be positioned after you release the mouse button. If the horizontal line is indented within a folder it will be added to the folder. The illustration at the left below shows that the Hague is selected and about to be moved to a folder. The illustration at the right shows the result nested in the folder named New Folder:

When you want simply to reorder results drag a result to the position you want it to be. In this example the Portland result is selected and is about to be moved above the Redlands result. Note that if there are no folders involved, the horizontal line is at the left edge of the list of results:

Select one or more items and start to drag them to the position you want them to be. As you are moving the items, press and hold the Ctrl key. When you release the mouse button, the items will be copied to their destination.
Right-click the item you want to rename, then click Rename on the shortcut menu.
Drag the folder to position it in the target folder:

Select one or more folders, right click, then choose Remove or select one or more folders, then press the Delete key. ArcGIS Explorer will delete all folders and the results in them.
Toggle the checkmark in the parent folder to display or hide all items in the folder.

You can set properties for a folder in the Folder Properties dialog box by right-clicking the folder name and selecting Properties... in the context menu that appears. The dialog box is similar to the one for individual results, except that you can only specify the Folder Title and the view of the folder. Once you've set the view, double-clicking the folder in the Results window will navigate the map to the observer/target position you captured.
